The weather is getting cool so it’s time to get your scarf on (and maybe a beanie and gloves, too!) in support of Scarf! Winter Scarf Dinners will run on Tuesday nights at The Grace Darling, Collingwood, from 27 June – 15 August. We can’t think of a better venue for our Winter season than this renowned Collingwood pub, with its bluestone walls and cosy fireplaces dotted throughout. The Grace Darling kitchen team have created a super delicious two course set menu (entree + main with choice, $45 per person). Maybe you’ll start with Green apple & gin cured ocean trout with cucumber salsa and Nori crisp for entree, followed by Braised beef cheek, parsnip puree, Brussels sprouts and jus for main. There are tasty vegetarian options in each course, and we can also cater for vegans – just advise of any dietary requirements upon booking. If you have room, we reckon the Chocolate marquise with double cream and honeycomb will be hard to go past! Don’t dieticians recommend greatly increasing your intake of desserts with double cream during the Winter months? Or did we dream that?
We’ve recruited a new group of eight front of house trainees who are keen to bust into hospitality jobs, and they can’t wait to get started at Winter Scarf Dinners. The Scarf trainees will be supported by our awesome volunteer mentors (hospitality professionals) to build their knowledge, skills, confidence and networks, whilst engaging in paid work experience during Scarf Dinners at The Grace Darling. As a diner, you’re a hugely important piece of the puzzle, helping the trainees get the all-important experience they need to practice their new skills, grow their confidence and land themselves a great job! Your part is easy… and tasty!
